Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 March 2026
1. About These Terms
These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Torr Health platform at torrhealth.ai and any associated mobile applications (the “Service”), operated by Torr Health(“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Clinical Decision Support — Not Medical Advice
Torr Health is a clinical decision support tool. It is not a medical device, and the information provided does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The Service provides evidence summaries drawn from published guidelines, research literature, and local trust protocols. These summaries are intended to support — not replace — the clinical judgement of qualified healthcare professionals.
You are solely responsible for all clinical decisions made in the care of your patients. Always exercise your own professional judgement and verify information against primary sources before acting on any output from Torr Health.
3. Eligibility
The Service is intended for use by qualified healthcare professionals, medical trainees, and healthcare organisations in the United Kingdom. By creating an account, you confirm that you are a healthcare professional or authorised representative of a healthcare organisation.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at meddicle@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in misuse of the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Enter any patient-identifiable information into the Service.
- Use the Service to make clinical decisions without independent professional judgement.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-access the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute content from the Service without written permission.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, software, and materials on the Service are owned by or licensed to Torr Health and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of England and Wales.
You may use the Service for your personal professional use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent, except where fair dealing or other exceptions apply under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
7. Trust and Organisation Subscriptions
Where a healthcare trust or organisation subscribes to the Service on behalf of its staff, additional terms may apply as set out in a separate agreement. The organisation administrator is responsible for managing access and ensuring compliance with these Terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by English law:
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the information provided is complete, accurate, or up to date. Clinical evidence evolves and local guidelines may change.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Torr Health and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (including limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will remain in effect.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
